Three University of 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 professors have been made Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Professor Steve Elliott? Director of the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research; Professor William Powrie? Professor of Geotechnical Engineering in the School of Civil Engineering and the Environment; and Professor David Richardson? Deputy Director of the Optoelectronics Research Centre? were elected in recognition of their contributions to engineering.

Professor Phil Nelson? Deputy Vice–Chancellor? comments: “I would like to offer many congratulations to each of the professors on their Fellowships. The Academy honours the UK’s most distinguished engineers. It aims to take advantage of the engineering knowledge they possess and, through the interdisciplinary character of its membership, it provides a unique breadth of engineering experience to further the art and practice of engineering in all its forms.

Election to the Academy is by invitation only, with up to 60 Fellows elected each year from nominations made by existing Fellows. They are distinguished by the title ‘Fellow of The Royal Academy of Engineering’ and the designatory letters ‘FREng’. Honorary Fellows and Foreign Members who have made exceptional contributions to engineering are also elected.
