31 January saw the close of the design stage of this year’s Create Your Campus competition. A panel of expert judges? chaired by John Gill of the British School at Rome? heard presentations from six students teams. The quality of all the designs and the professionalism of the presentations was extremely high. All the students that took part should be proud of their achievement and contribution to help inform the University’s thinking in student-centred design.

The final decision was based on the judges’ panel (50 per cent) and a student vote (50 per cent), whilst taking into account the overall budget. The winning team, Team fgConcept, Yves Lesteven, Andrea Grundwald, Weronica Ling, Matteo Magherini and Mahmuda Yesmin, will now work with Estates and Facilities staff to develop their design and inform the build of the room.
