The Parkes Institute and the VC will be hosting the annual Karten Lecture on Tuesday 15th May 2012, which this year is particularly special, as it will be a memorial to celebrate the life and impact of Ian Karten, MBE, who passed away last year.

Ian Karten was one of the University’s biggest supporters, and his wife Mildred will be guest of honour on the night. The Karten Outreach Officer, Dr Helen Spurling will present the lecture entitled “Jewish and Christian Interpretations of the book of Genesis in late Antiquity”.
