Seeking food for thought in your lunch hour? Join?us for the latest free, informal discussion at the Gallery, open to?all, presented in partnership with Philosophy at the University of?天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载. To coincide with our latest exhibition, Quarantania,?based around social rituals and individual and group dynamics, join?us for a debate to examine our freedoms within today’s society.

Subjectively we view ourselves as in control of most?of our actions, and we think that other people are largely?responsible for theirs. But objectively we can see that what we do is?caused by many events and circumstances stretching back into the past,?which has suggested to some people that free will is an illusion.

Which view should win out? Or is there no real conflict between them?

This talk will be held in the gallery’s?Education Room with strictly limited numbers. Places are available on?a first come, first served basis. Arrive early to avoid?disappointment.
