The Mid-Autumn Festival is the second most important festival in the Chinese calendar and falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month when the moon is full.? It is also known as the “Moon Festival” and is a time when Chinese people gather together, think of absent friends and family, drink tea and eat moon cakes.

This year is also the 10th anniversary of establishment of the global Confucius Institute project. To celebrate this anniversary and the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, we have invited a performance troupe from the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts (NACTA) in China for our evening celebration. Performances will include Peking Opera, Martial Arts, traditional Chinese music, and Chinese face changing.
