PhD Medicine?student, Joshua Welsh has been selected as a winner in the category of ‘innovation’ as part of the Jack Wills Young Extraordinary Brits competition.?

The competition judged hundreds of entrants across the categories of ‘innovation’, ‘creativity’, ‘endurance’ and ‘enterprise’, based on their stories and ambitions.

Joshua was selected due to his?work on using leukocyte microparticles to develop a test that predicts infection in stroke patients before the onset of clinical symptoms.
