The Computationally Intensive Imaging, USRG is delighted to?invite staff and students?to an exhibition of?extraordinary pictures?created by?world class imaging activities at the University.
Computation is a core element of virtually all major imaging developments today and at this exhibition you will see images?that?no other method?could have captured.
All the images have been taken by?researchers as part of their projects, but the pictures on show are being presented with an emphasis on their artistic, rather than their scientific nature.
The event?will take place 6 – 10 July, Observatory, Building 85; drinks reception 8 July 12:00 – 14:00
The exhibition?is organised every year by the?Computationally Intensive Imaging (CII) University Strategic Research Group (USRG).
The images?will be on display all week, but at the?drinks reception on Wednesday?8 July?owners of each of the images will be on hand to explain the subject of the image, why?it?was taken,?its?significance?in relation to their research and how it was?created.
