Professor Melanie Welham, Executive Director of Science at the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC)?will be visiting the University?on?5 October.

The?BBSRC is the UK’s leading funder of academic research and training in the non-clinical life sciences in universities.

The body?funds research to improve the fundamental understanding of the biological systems upon which all human life depends.

Their research portfolio spans the microbial, plant and animal kingdoms, from molecules to cells, to whole organisms and populations.
