Students’ Union launches Don’t Rush to Rent campaign

The Students’ Union’s is?relaunching the Don’t Rush to Rent campaign to improve the standard of housing across the city.

SUSU Housing

The campaign, which will run throughout the year targeting students, landlords and letting agents, aims to reduce the pressure students face by being rushed into renting a house and to ensure they are aware of their rights as tenants.

Sam Bailey, the Vice-President Welfare, says:

“Students account for around 15% of this city but the 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 available to them has been sub-standard for too long. No one should have to live with mould, rats or other pests in the 21st century.

“We believe everyone is entitled to safe and healthy housing and that’s why we’re launching this campaign to work with students, landlords and letting agents to improve housing for all.”

Louise Bellamy, the Students’ Union Housing Officer, says:

“In my time at uni I’ve heard some awful housing stories, and had some bad experiences myself.
