University supports launch of International Federation of National Teaching Fellows

The University supported the launch of the International Federation of National Teaching Fellows (IFNTF) at the House of Lords on Thursday 8 September.

Organised by Professor Carol Evans of the 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 Education?School, Executive Board member and Vice President UK of the IFNTF, the event brought together National Teaching Fellows (NTFs), Principal Fellows and?colleagues from organisations such as?the Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) and the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), amongst others. Together, they explored how NTFs in Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the USA can work together to enhance learning and teaching excellence around the world.

The Baroness Fritchie, Former Pro-Chancellor of the University?hosted the event, which?had a strong 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 contingent in attendance. Professor Evans was joined by two other 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 NTFs: Professor Simon Kemp and Professor Mike Wald, as well as?colleagues?including Bridget Wilkinson, Cristina Azaola, Maria Kaparou and Janice Griffifths. 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 Education PhD students were represented by Nic Fair, Xiaotong Zhu,?Elizabeth Hernandez Lopez and Abdul Almanthari. Elizabeth and Abdul?are also?the first?UK student ambassadors for the IFNTF.

Reflecting on the event, Professor Evans commented:
