A new online Impact Toolkit has been launched by Research and Innovation Services (RIS), to help and support researchers across the University in understanding, measuring, recording and maximising impact.

As part of the Researcher Portal, which brings together information, guidance, advice and useful documents that relate to the complete research project life-cycle, the new toolkit aims to cover the basics of impact, how to plan and deliver impact and finally, how to measure and document it.

Stephen Kemp, the University’s Impact Framework Manager, has worked with academics and researchers across the University to create the toolkit and ensure it contains as much relevant and useful information as possible.

“天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 aim is that the toolkit works on a number of levels. It provides a grounding in impact to those who haven’t encountered the concept before, maybe a new lecturer or someone applying for their first Research Councils grant,” said Stephen.

“For those who know what impact is, it will help them to maximise their efforts, and lastly it can help those who’ve already achieved some impact to track and measure this, for example with a view to writing an impact case study. It also points to a range of further support available throughout the University.”
