Turner Sims, the University’s world-class concert hall,?has announced its 2017 autumn season.

Highlights include:
- Big Band celebration – the autumn programme’s jazz strand features three big bands: Holland’s ICP Orchestra mark their 50th anniversary as one of the world’s leading contemporary music ensembles in 2017; composer and arranger Mike Gibbs celebrates his 80th birthday with an all-star British line-up; and Beats & Pieces mark their 10th anniversary
- Exclusive performances from violinist Chlo? Hanslip and pianist Danny Driver, clarinettist Emma Johnson and Friends, Armida Quartet, Binker & Moses + guests, Darius Brubeck Quartet, Reis / Demuth / Wiltgen Trio?and the dynamic early music group Spiritato
- An eight-recital piano series curated by Turner Sims featuring internationally-renowned artists including Federico Colli and Cédric Tiberghien. They are joined by Imogen Cooper, who will perform a three-concert series focused on Beethoven and Haydn
- UK, European and international jazz artists including Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah (US), Denys Baptiste (UK), Portico Quartet (UK), Reis / Demuth / Wiltgen Trio (Luxembourg) and Andy Sheppard Quartet (UK)
- Vienna Piano Trio, who conclude their three-year residency with Turner Sims with a four-concert series focused on the work of a young Beethoven
- A special world music series that includes Cuban composer Omar Sosa, Senegalese kora master and singer Seckou Keita, Malian guitarist Habib Koité, and Finnish trio V?rttin?
