The Post Room has been awarded a?diamond accreditation, for the seventh year running, from?Postal and Logistics Consulting Worldwide (PLCWW), which took?over the process from the Royal Mail.

The award required the Post Room to meet specific criteria in areas including security, knowledge of products and services, efficiency of processes and?customer service.

The accreditation process has been adopted by at least five?other universities, as well as many private businesses, the highest award being diamond.

Dave Caws, Post and Portering Services Manager, said:

“This is a great?reflection of all the?hard work the?team?puts into making the Post Room an excellent?part of the Post and Portering section. This is all the more satisfying as the?award criteria have been significantly toughened up over the past few years.”

The University Post and Portering department has also set up?a forum of managers from other university post rooms to share best practice and continually improve its service.
