Keeping the University safe: new Health and Safety incident reporting form

Health and Safety has today (2 October)?introduced?a new online incident reporting form, the?first stage in the development of a comprehensive incident management system.

The form is quick and easy to complete.? It will include?menu-led questions based upon the nature of the incident being reported.

You can?find the?form?by clicking on the?yellow incident icon on?the SUSSED homepage and also on the Health?and Safety SharePoint site?(click on ‘Incidents’ on the top navigation).

The University is a busy place and while we take every measure to maintain a safe environment, occasionally incidents do occur. When this happens, it is important that the right people are informed as quickly as possible – this helps us identify the cause and take the appropriate action to prevent an incident happening again.

Please remember to report any injuries, fire incidents, alarm activations, environmental incidents and near misses and we can continue to make improvements to the health, safety and welfare of all staff and students.

If you do encounter any problems with the new form, please raise a ticket with?ServiceLine.

If you have any queries about this information, please contact Health and Safety.
