The Met Office has issued a strong winds alert for this area of the country.

The ‘Yellow Alert’ applies over the weekend specifically Saturday in anticipation of winds up to 70mph along exposed coastline and 55mph elsewhere.

The Estates and Facilities Department would like to remind everyone to close all windows before leaving today, as open windows during high wind can lead to significant damage.
