A significant?upgrade to the wireless services in Building 54 (Mathematics) on Highfield Campus has now been completed.

By?providing?a high quality wireless service in areas of the building which are particularly popular among students,?this upgrade will?provide an?improved student experience.

In addition to increased coverage, this upgrade?will improve?performance and deliver support for the highest traffic areas, ensuring fast, reliable access to ‘Eduroam’ and ‘WiFi_Guest’ services, even at busy times.

The upgrade forms part of the of the University’s Network Architecture Programme which aims to deliver significant improvements to the staff and student experience through the implementation of:

? A new Fibre Optic network

??A very high capacity core network

??An enhanced wireless network

??Faster and more resilient network connectivity to University sites
