Since the publication of?yesterday’s update about the outcomes of the recent trade union ballots, the University has received a formal notice of intent to take action from the University and College Union (UCU). This confirms they have asked their members at 60 UK universities to support strike action over the national issues of pay and/or pension* reform. The planned dates for action will start on Monday 25?November?2019.
The University respects the right of trade union members to take industrial action?and will provide clear policies to help colleagues understand how this will affect their pay and pensions.

Dates for?action?
Strike action will take place on?25,?26,?27,?28,?29 November 2019?and?2, 3, 4 December 2019.
Action short of a strike will consist of participating members ‘working to contract’, not covering for absent colleagues, not rescheduling lectures or classes cancelled due to strike action, and not undertaking any voluntary activities. It will take place from?Monday 25 November?2019?to no later than?29 April 2020.
