Researchers invited to attend Public Policy Training

Public Policy|天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载?is pleased to introduce a?series of policy-focused training sessions designed to support all researchers at our University?and increase the impact of their current research. The events are free to attend.

  • How to influence policymakers 4 March. This new training delivered by policy expert Dr Helen Goulding looks at how to make evidence better understood, who the key policymakers are who need to hear about it and how to get them to focus on your recommendations amongst everything else on their desks. ?
  • ?How to win at policy 18 March. This session delivered by Gareth Giles aims to demystify the process of engaging with public policy actors and highlight support available from Public Policy|天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载.
  • ?How to write a Policy Brief 1 April. This training delivered by Yaryna Basystyuk looks at what the policymaker audience demands from a policy brief and how you can go about creating it.
  • Data Visualisation for Policy?22 April. This session carried out by the Information Lab expert Luke Stoughton covers both theoretical and practical aspects of using data visualisation tools to create meaning from complex data to help policymakers make better informed policy decisions.
  • The Policy Masterclass 6 May. This Masterclass delivered by former Secretary of State and 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 alumnus John Denham is specifically designed for researchers with a public policy impact goal in mind and provides exciting opportunity to work in small groups to learn what works when communicating evidence to senior policymakers.
  • Be a policymaker for an hour 20 May. This new interactive session delivered by Thea Kouraki will help researchers build skills and knowledge for policy engagement, in particular by unpacking what is good evidence and how to effectively present and communicate it.
