A fantastic 13 subjects made it into the top ten of the Guide this year, six of these being newly defined subjects in the list. Two subjects were ranked first: Electronic and Electrical Engineering and Physiotherapy. There were improvements in many subjects including General Nursing, Health Professions and Mechanical Engineering that moved into the top 10. General Nursing had the highest rise with a 19-place improvement (23 to 4).
The?Guardian University Guide?uses nine measures of performance, covering all stages of the student life cycle including entry standards, student satisfaction, value added and career prospects.
