Why are we asking you to do this?

Keeping your personal data up to date is important because it:

• Ensures we have accurate records for communication and emergencies.
• Helps us meet our legal obligations, including those under the Equality Act 2010.
• Contributes to a better understanding of our staff community, supporting decision-making and planning.

I have been here a long time – why would I need to do this?

Even if you’ve been with the University for some time, it’s important to review and update your information. Over time, personal circumstances and details may change and keeping your records accurate and up-to-date benefits everyone.

Is my information secure?

Yes, your information is treated with the utmost care and confidentiality. We comply fully with the Data Protection Act 2018, ensuring that your personal data is handled securely. Only specific HR staff have access to your data, and any reports or analysis use anonymised information.

How do I update my information?

• Log in to?MyView.
• Select ‘My Details’ then check your current details under:
  • Contact Details
  • Emergency Contact Details
  • Equal Opportunities

If your details are correct, you don’t need to do anything else. If your details are missing or out of date, please update with your latest information. For Equal Opportunities data, there is also the option to ‘prefer not to answer’ or ‘prefer not to say’ – the submission of equality data is voluntary.
