As colleagues will be aware, over the past six months the University has been working towards the reintroduction of car parking charges with a new automated parking system. Parking charges restarted as planned on?17 February 2025, however, we have become aware of a glitch in the system. We wish to err on the side of caution and make sure the system is working correctly before we start charging routinely, therefore we have taken the decision to suspend charging with immediate effect while we sort out these issues.
We apologise for any confusion caused by this, and ask that you remain patient with our Parking team while we work with our supplier to resolve the problem.
Please note that you must still be a registered user to park on our campuses. Whilst daily fees have been paused, enforcement is still taking place for violations such as parking outside a designated bay.
