The Lifelong Learning Summer Festival (Online), will be running from 30 June to 10 July 2025. The festival is open to all, with daily sessions from 18:00 to 19:30.
This online festival will showcase the rich and varied courses offered through our Lifelong Learning programme, featuring a series of engaging taster talks and hands-on workshops. The event draws on research and teaching expertise across the School of Humanities, offering a glimpse into the vibrant short courses in Philosophy, English Literature, Creative Writing, Music, Film, and History.
Highlights of the festival include:
- Short talks that provide a flavour of our intellectually stimulating courses
- Creative writing workshops on Fiction, Non-fiction, and Song Lyrics – ideal for anyone keen to explore or develop their writing skills. These 90-minute sessions include guided writing and group discussion
- Research presentations from the academic community, exploring timely and relevant topics and the impact of work beyond the university
