Dragonfly Day 2010

Engineering and the Environment?at the?University of 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 runs an extensive?outreach and widening participation programme. This ranges from?in-school talks to residential courses and our ground-breaking TEAtime lecture series.

We work with local schools, colleges and community groups to ensure that?events inspire the next generation of engineers.

  • Acoustics - sound workshops (e.g. "Extreme Sounds and Unexpected Music") and interesting tours of our acoustic facilities.
  • Aeolus - An extensive programme of creative engineering workshops to inspire curiosity and wonder about sound and acoustics.
  • Dragonfly Day - an on-campus day designed for year 9 female students to encourage young women to consider the benefits of further study, and careers, in science and engineering.
  • Residential courses - our residential courses are designed for students Yr12, interested in engineering
  • Sound effects - we've collated links to sound effects on the web
  • Sound waves - the ISVR Teaching Material and Tutorial on Waves and Acoustics.
