Dr Ying Zheng awarded ?10k from Pearson English

Dr Ying Zheng has been awarded 10K from Pearson English in support of the project "Assessing Language Progress: How to Measure, and What to Compare to?". This project will recruit this university¡¯s pre-sessional students from the 2017 cohort to examine their language progress via a series of tests, including in-house assessment batteries and Pearson¡¯s Progress Tests. The purpose is to track progress patterns and development trajectories in relation to test takers¡¯ individual backgrounds, and if possible, establish the concurrent validity of two testing systems.
