MEng Mechanical Engineering / Naval Engineering

The Naval Engineering pathway has been developed in conjunction with the Royal Navy to provide you with detailed understanding of marine systems engineering balanced with a broad-based training in the key principles of mechanical engineering.

You will study modules in marine law, marine craft design and ship science that will help you develop a range of skills that are particularly suitable for those interested in marine systems engineering. The modules, particularly Marine safety and environmental engineering, help to develop expertise in key subject areas required to achieve Chartered Engineer status.
