Academic Clinical Fellowships

What is an Academic Clinical Fellowship?

Academic Clinical Fellowship (ACF)?posts are run-through training posts for doctors?entering specialist training who have outstanding potential for development as a researcher and/or educationalist.

An ACF offers dedicated time for the trainee to develop academic skills while working towards preparing an application for a training fellowship to undertake a higher degree.

Funding for?ACFs is available for a maximum of three years (four years for GPs) to allow for completion of clinical training, 25% of which is spent in academic training.
