de Sitter space in supergravity and string theory
The vacuum with a positive cosmological constant, de Sitter spacetime, plays an important role in cosmology. Even so, understanding de Sitter physics within string theory has been quite challenging. I will review some of the difficulties and discuss new approaches of obtaining a positive cosmological constant in supergravity and string theory.
