The Faculties of Medicine, Arts and Humanities, and Social Sciences created the Centre for Medical and Health Humanities based on their existing work together and future collaborations.

The centre promotes interdisciplinary research and hosts external events including guest speakers, seminars and conferences.

At the Centre, we champion the role of the humanities in medicine, health, and medical education. We foster interdisciplinary and interfaculty collaborations to explore the human dimensions of illness, care, and clinical practice. Bringing diverse disciplines together to examine what it means to be human is central to our mission. At a time of unprecedented global and societal challenges, we seek to deepen understanding of the human condition through the lenses of the humanities, medicine, and health.
