Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:

• Critically analyse the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying a range of acute and chronic conditions, including how these mechanisms impact functional capacity and activities of daily living.
• Evaluate how common disease processes alter physiological responses to different forms of exercise and daily activities, and integrate this knowledge into the planning of safe and effective patient-centred care.
• Interpret key diagnostic criteria and clinical investigations used to identify common conditions, and relate findings to disease progression and therapeutic decision-making.
• Explain the rationale, mechanism of action, and expected outcomes of common therapeutic interventions used in the management of various health conditions.
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge of human anatomy and integrative physiological systems to support understanding of deviations from normal function in pathological states.
