She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in ‘Cyber Coverage of Autonomous Ships in the context of Marine Insurance Law’ funded by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education. Fatima's current research focuses on how cyber risks could be included in the scope of traditional marine insurance and how this situation could be implemented in autonomous vessels. As a result, it covers the following three areas: cyber risks, autonomous ships, and marine insurance law.

Fatima completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Law at Kirikkale University (Turkey) and Master’s Degree in International Maritime Law at Swansea University. She has previously delivered talks at conferences held by a number of universities both in and outside the UK. She has undertaken editor and co-editor in chief roles at 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 Student Law Review. She is also a qualified lawyer based in Turkey.
