He says his biggest achievement so far has been producing his book?Futuristic Trends in Computing Technologies and Data Sciences?that will soon be available on the market.

Shubham chose to study his MSc in Data and Decision Analytics at Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖÆåÅÆ_Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖAPP-¹ÙÍø|ÏÂÔØ because of its strong reputation for academic excellence and research in data science. 

He said: ¡°Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖÆåÅÆ_Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖAPP-¹ÙÍø|ÏÂÔØ is ranked among the top universities globally and its data analytics programme is known for its rigorous curriculum and practical focus, which aligned perfectly with my career goals.

Additionally, the University¡¯s connections with industry leaders provided valuable opportunities for networking that is crucial for building a successful career in data analytics.¡±

He says the diverse and vibrant student community also ensured a rich cultural experience, making Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖÆåÅÆ_Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖAPP-¹ÙÍø|ÏÂÔØ the ideal choice for his studies.

What Shubham most enjoyed about his course was the perfect blend of theory and practical applications. He says the hands-on projects allowed him to apply the concepts he learnt in real-world scenarios, giving him a deeper understanding of data analytics beyond textbooks. 

He says: ¡°As for Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖÆåÅÆ_Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖAPP-¹ÙÍø|ÏÂÔØ, I loved the vibrant student life and the welcoming community. The city is rich in history and culture with beautiful green spaces and a lively waterfront. The diverse student body made it easy to form connections and learn from different perspectives, making my time at Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖÆåÅÆ_Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖAPP-¹ÙÍø|ÏÂÔØ truly unforgettable.¡±

Shubham admits that he did experience some challenges and anxieties both before and during his time at Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖÆåÅÆ_Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖAPP-¹ÙÍø|ÏÂÔØ, but that he was able to seek help from various University resources and felt supported to overcome these challenges.  

He recalls: ¡°Before arriving, I was anxious about adapting to a new country, culture, and academic environment in those hard COVID times. The thought of being away from home and managing everything on my own was daunting.  

¡°Once I started the program, the rigorous coursework and the pressure to excel sometimes felt overwhelming, especially when balancing studies with new responsibilities in a foreign setting.  

¡°The international student office was incredibly helpful in easing my transition. I also connected with fellow Indian students to share each other's experiences. The mental health resources and counselling services offered by the University were invaluable in managing stress and maintaining my well-being. 

Extra-curricular activities

As well as his degree, Shubham also took advantage of several extra-curricular activities that enriched his overall experience.  

He joined the Data Science Society where he participated in hackathons and workshops, enhancing his skills and connecting with like-minded peers; he engaged in volunteering opportunity through the University¡¯s outreach programme that allowed him to give back to the community and develop leadership skills; he also explored various cultural societies and attended events celebrating different traditions and backgrounds that broadened his global perspective.  

He also says the University¡¯s sports facilities were a highlight of his time at Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖÆåÅÆ_Ìì·¢ÓéÀÖAPP-¹ÙÍø|ÏÂÔØ helping him maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle. 

He said: ¡°These activities not only complemented my academic life but also helped me build a strong network and create lasting memories.¡±
